- ⊗ Page 2 - Our planet, flora, fauna, etc -

Our planet, Vizali, has 5 main continents, all surrounded by ocean. The climate of these lands however, is not very forgiving, as snow completely covers a huge amount of all the land in the planet, leaving uncovered surfaces as a scarce, rare view. Ginormous blizzards (also knowns as the global storms) can cover the entire world for days at a time, although these only happen every few months. Even though cold reigns over so much of Vizali, oceans, rivers, seas, all remain unfrozen, due to the extremely common substance "organessonium" in most rocks and soil, which erodes into the water bodies. It clings to liquid water, and ONLY alters its freezing point, reducing it to -11 degrees C, Organessonium also makes the oceans a very dark, SLIGHTLY desaturated blue, while rivers maintain their nice, fresh blue color. Snow buildup is also contained in a safe and superficial level, because of sublimation, global blizzards (and regular wind) sweeping the snow into the geothermically warmed oceans, or the flora that melts it, keeping snow levels manageable. Because of still non understood climatic phenomena, both snowfall and rainfall can happen, rain being usually in medium - strong storms, with the last point of interest to note is that we also orbit a red star, which gives our sky some really nice color schemes. 91% of the land is covered with snow.

Flora

The flora of this world could be considered quite beautiful, huge, lush forests thrive, and they're not such a rare sight! Life has adapted and fought its way over the discourse that is Vizali's climate, which lead to the development of extremely cold resistant plants. All of the flora in this world varies throughout a cyan to dark blue hue - the bigger, more lush forests adopt a darker hue, whilst weaker and smaller vegetations adopt a lighter, more cyan color, because of the lack of need for extra sunlight. yellow glowing moss can also be found in many stoney regions, lush forests, and even domestically kept at houses. The world is divided into 12 main biomes (and their several variations), which are deserts, rainforests, seasoned forests (change colors with seasons), snowy plains, ice spikes (⊗ very rare, really pretty tho.), mountainous regions, badlands, river deltas, frozen seas (ALSO EXTREMELY RARE), saltwaters, freshwaters, and the Frozen savannahs (barely covered by snow, parts of the ground visible). A neat fact is that trees and plants will only be covered in snow for a few hours after snowfall.

For more specific information on flora, check the 3rd page: but for general descriptions, the most common crop is "Frost wheat", a breed of flowering grass. It grows to about 1.5m in height, and the deepest snow it can grow in is 50 cm of loosely packed snow. It has several breeds for various purposes. There is also small fruit/veggie plants that are usually grown within the home.

---> ⊗Psst, this is my friend, they decided to help with the more nerdy stuff im bad at figuring out, they write using the ⇛ symbol, not hard to spot.

Fauna

The fauna of our world is cruel and aggressive, having grown in a harsh and terrible surface, many species are predatory and dangerous, and most animals adopt a omnivoriac diet, unable to sustain themselves completely off of meat or plants. Flying creatures, however, can be both small and tame or huge and BEEFY. (⊗; scaled creatures are also kinda big, even though science says they're supposed to be small? weirdos.) Land animals are the bigger threats, however, with robust lizards, huge scaled creatures, a LOT of felines, etc. Cattle-like species are a type of animal that has went almost completely extinct in the wilderness, and are only maintained existing for food in our civilization. Most animals usually reserve special locations to shelter in, like caves, burrows, or behind entire mountains, bringing and stocking food, like dead prey, when a global storm shows signs it'll hit that location soon.

For more specific descriptions on fauna, check the nerd stuff page:  but for general descriptions, there's still a decent amount of herbivores. Reindeers are highly nomadic to avoid global storms, and hence can only rarely be hunted. A more common hunting animal is Hamitos, a... Rabbit-guinea pig-mole thing. They also have goats for milk, horses for transport, and pigs for meat.

Seasons

Vizali varies from 3 seasons, Outo, Prite, and Lato. Each season is around 3 and a third of a month, and when all of the seasons pass, a "knot" is "tied" (⊗ not a literal knot, its just an expression.)! This makes knots be exactly 10 months long. Outo is the start of the knot, and it has a lower temperature than the other seasons, it's also when hibernating species enter their hibernation cycle, too. In prite, the climate normalizes, and for the first half of the season, seasoned flora (name for plants that change color with the season) shift to a violet tone, called "the blooming". it is also when lolallies, a common type of flower that's fully grey, finally bloom, revealing a faintly glowing yellow flower, that wilts at the end of the first half of Prite, giving the surface a faint glow in most regions. At the middle of the season is when the hibernating species wake up from their hibernation cycle. When Lato comes, the climate warms just a little, which is about it, usually the "boring" season.

Sky

The sky is, curiously, a muted-grey lavender color, due to the world orbiting a red star! Sunsets are a rust-like color, by the way.

⊗ I personally find this really pretty, just so yall know.

Moons

Vizali has 3 moons, 2 of them are much too far to affect the tides in any relevant matter, but the closest one can alter them. The first moon, "Trinitite", is slightly green, the second one, "Alémany", is grey, and the third one, "Kali", is noticeably red.

(⊗ - Hey, psst, you there. I used to have the feyblood entry here, but i moved it to it's own page, since i actually started writing way more than i thought i would on it. Swing by the next page for the explanation on whatever the hell our "magic" system is.
